Trusted Digital Technology, Shanghai Jiao Tong University
The Trusted Digital Technology (TDT) lab of Shanghai Jiao Tong University was founded by Professor Zhenfu Cao in January 2002. It is one of the earliest labs publicly working on the "trusted-X technology" all over the world.
It focuses on the research of cryptology and trusted digital technology.
In Cryptography, the research topics include modern cryptographic algorithms, cryptanalysis, digital signatures, threshold algorithms, secret key managing, secret sharing, cryptographic protocols and so on.
In trusted digital technology, the research topics include trusted computing, trusted network, security issues in E-Commerce and E-Government, information/network security, the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and how to deploy the PKI and so on.
The lab owns independent intellectual property rights on a series of core technologies.
Further, our Lab has been working on commercialized development of transformating our research result into products and has achieved the breakthrough on information security design, such as identity (biometric) based public key authentication framework.
Since it was established, the Trusted Digital Technology lab has already applied for 24 national patents (10 granted) and 12 international/U.S./European patents. TDT has developed the first encrypted data sharing mobile device. TDT has also developed the algorithms for huge integer computing, huge integer decomposing, elliptic curve computing. Since established, the Trusted Digital Technology lab has published over 200 papers on the well-known domestic and international journals and conferences. More than 100 papers were indexed by SCI and more than 160 papers were indexed by EI. Currently, there are 4 professors and associate professors, 4 guest professors and guest staffs, 13 phd candidates, 16 masters, several engineering masters and several students of ACM honor class. 2 post-doctors, 16 doctors, 39 masters and several engineering masters have graduated from TDT lab.Our research is supported by more than 10 research grants, such as Outstanding Youth Science Foundation of China, National 863 project, Research Fund for the Doctoral Program of Higher Education. Now, the lab is in charge of the research on National Natural Science Foundation of China and Special Foundation of Huawei.
The lab has built up a long term relationship with many related international institutes. The lab aims to build and cultivate an international top-level research group, and become one of the most important research group in the area of cryptology and information security
